Restylane Lip treatment

What can be treated with Restylane?

The most common areas to treat with Restylane Lipp include:

• Lips

• Lip contours

• Asymmetry of the lips

How is Restylane treatment carried out?

There is always a consultation before you set up your Restylane lip treatment. During the consultation, you will receive comprehensive information regarding preparations prior to the treatment, the treatment itself and what happens afterwards.

Most people prefer to have an anaesthetic before Restylane treatment. We use either an anaesthetic cream or a local anaesthetic injection (dental anaesthetic) for this, which means you will not feel anything during the treatment.

Restylane is injected into the lips through a thin needle, and the treatment takes from 30-60 minutes. It's normal to feel some discomfort in the form of swelling, redness/bruising, itching, pain or tenderness in the treated area.  This usually passes within a few days, but may last a maximum of 1-2 weeks.

How does Restylane work?

Restylane is a clear gel based on hyaluronic acid that resembles the body's own hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not animal-based, and you therefore do not take a skin test. There is minimal risk of allergic or hypersensitive reactions. Restylane has a unique ability to attract water, which ensures that the volume is maintained, even when the Restylane begins to dissolve.

In most cases, Restylane provides immediate effect in the lips, which is long-lasting, but not permanent. After an initial treatment, we recommend a new treatment after 4 months to maintain the result. The effect of the Restylane treatment will then last from 3-9 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle and age. Due to the tissue type of the lips, one will have a slightly shorter duration here than in other areas.

The Jan Marini medical skincare line

A fresh, youthful appearance is based on healthy skin. We always recommend the use of the Jan Marini Skin Research medical skin care line in conjunction with our treatments with Restylane Vital. We match the products specifically adapted to your skin and the treatment you have taken. In this way, we can increase the effect of the Restylane treatment and prevent the formation of wrinkles. We always recommend moderation with respect to exposure to the sun.

Can everyone be treated with Restylane?

In general, anyone can be treated with Restylane with the exception of the following:

• Pregnant women or women who are breast feeding.
• Those with an infection/ulcers in the proposed treatment area.
• Those who are on blood-thinning medication.

Why choose Restylane?

• Restylane is natural. It resembles the body's own hyaluronic acid and contains no toxins. It provides a natural look without affecting the facial expression and brings back your natural beauty. The treatment is not permanent, and you therefore do not have a lasting look that you may regret since the face changes over time.

• Restylane is safe. There have been more than 10 million treatments performed worldwide. Unlike some other products that are based on hyaluronic acid, Restylane is not animal-based, which means minimal risk of allergic reactions and transmission of diseases.

• Restylane is particularly adapted to your needs. We have special products adapted to the movement and flexibility of the lips, and one does not need to insert large quantities in order to get a great result. We work hard to give everyone a result that is as natural-looking as possible.
