Ellipse I²PL

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is technically not defined as a laser. Unlike lasers, IPL uses white light consisting of many frequencies (wavelengths). Lasers use only one wavelength (colour). With its broad spectrum of wavelengths, IPL therefore has the ability to effectively treat many different conditions, such as broken capillaries, age spots and hair removal.

Each of Ellipse's products are tested and medically documented.

Second generation Intense Pulsed Light (I ² PL) is more effective than first generation since it has an additional filter that removes infrared light (this is absorbed by the fluid in the tissue). This makes for a safer treatment that is more effective in that it uses less energy and does not need external cooling. Thus, during treatment, the right penetration depth and optimum absorption are achieved for what will be treated. The short burst of light is set to heat up the target to the correct temperature without damaging the surrounding tissue. The risk of side effects is then also reduced.

In order to receive a treatment, you should not be tan, and you should not have been in the sun during the previous 4 weeks. After treatment, you should use cream with SPF 30 and not expose the treated area to the sun during the following 4 weeks.

Jan Marini skin care medical line in conjunction with IPL treatments
A fresh, youthful appearance is based on healthy skin. We always recommend the use of the Jan Marini Skin Research medical skin care line in conjunction with our IPL treatments. We match the products specifically adapted to your skin and the treatment you have taken. In this way, we can increase the effect of the treatment and produce a preventive effect. We always recommend moderation with respect to exposure to the sun.
