What can be treated with Med Contour?
The actual treatment takes from 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the area to be treated and the skin reaction. A treatment plan consists of 6 treatments on average, with 5 to10-day intervals. It is important that you can follow up and undergo treatment every week once you have begun the treatments.
The effect is long-lasting, but not permanent. You should expect the need for maintenance treatments.
Med Contour works by sending out two low-frequency ultrasound waves of 1 MHz. This creates micro-bubbles in the fat tissue. These micro-bubbles implode, and the energy released is powerful enough to destroy fat cells in the appropriate treatment area. The body will process the fat from the destroyed fat cells in the same way that it treats the fat you take in through food. The combination of vacuum lymphatic drainage makes it easier for the body to rid itself of waste material and the released fat.
Can everyone be treated with Med Contour?
In general, anyone can be treated with Med Contour for the purposes of body slimming/figure shaping with the exception of the following:
• Pregnant women or women who are breast feeding
• People who have hyper-cholesterol or diabetes or who have previously undergone a bypass operation
• People with silicone, plastic or metal implants in the treatment area
• People with implanted pacemakers
• People with hepatitis or other liver diseases
• People who have had lymph nodes removed
• People with an existing heart disease
• People who have recently undergone surgery
